Tumut Millet Broom Factory

The Tumut district grows the highest grade broom millet in NSW and 90% of the
State's requirements come from this area.

The crop is sown in November and harvested in February. After threshing out
the grain, the stems are brought to the factory in Adelong Road to be made
into brooms.

Visitors are welcome to have a free look around the factory in action on any
weekday during business hours.
