Delegate is the largest of the villages within Platypus Country and has a history all its own.
A visit to the Early Settlers Hut gives a glimpse into the lives of the early European pioneers. This dwelling is thought to be the first European dwelling on the Monaro and has been fully restored and now maintained by local volunteers. A visit to the Delegate History Museum gives a great insight into the social history of this small but important village.

No visit to Delegate is complete without visiting the Borderline and Bundian Way Galleries. The Borderline Gallery features work from many local artists, while the Bundian Way Gallery is a dedicated space for Aboriginal artists to exhibit their works. While at the Galleries, you can pick up information on the Bundian Way, the ancient Aboriginal walking track between the Mountains and the Coast which passes right through Delegate.
