The campaign consists of digital and social placements across various platforms targeting mainly families, couples and first-timers. The objective of the campaign is to increase awareness and enhance perceptions of the region as having diverse winter experiences.
“We’re excited to be investing again on attracting people to the region in the winter months; we’ve seen really positive results from our previous two campaigns and we’re expecting the same in 2016,’’ said Neil Thew Executive Officer, TSM. ‘’It’s fantastic that the snow resorts are collaborating along with TSM and DNSW to help grow visitation to the region,’’ said Mr Thew. ‘’The more people that visit the region, the better it is for all businesses.’’

Singapore Market and Canberra Airport Update
It’s little over four months now until international flights commence direct into Canberra Airport. Stephen Byron MD of Canberra Airport states: ‘’bookings have been strong in-bound not only from Singapore but also from broader Asia and it is exciting to have the entire Singapore Airlines network working with us to promote the Region.’’
TSM is now finalising a briefing document that it will soon share with regional stakeholders on the opportunities faced with the Singapore market. ‘’I’m planning on presenting my trade mission findings and recommendations to the region before winter with the view of assisting and inspiring local businesses to get export ready for the influx of international visitors,’’ said Neil Thew from TSM.
Mr Byron goes on to say: "The quest of conquering Kosi and ascending the highest mountain in Australia is a classic must-do for our visitors from Asia and is one of many key attractors. Combined with the opportunity for skiing in the months of June-September when skiing is not possible for them, we have a great offering for Singaporean and Asian tourists, year-round. The quality of our food offerings and accommodation will also be critical."
Regional Events Conference
Tourism Snowy Mountains will be represented at the NSW Regional Events Conference to be held in Wagga 2-4 May.
The Conference will cover many topics such as: community collaboration, attracting events, local government involvement in regional events, hosting good events and many more.
“TSM sees events as a key driver in highlighting a region and attracting visitation,’’ said Neil Thew from TSM. ‘’I’m interested to see what the new trends are, what’s working, what’s not and to find out more about what else can be done to secure great events to our region,’’ said Mr Thew.
