Adelong Golden Gully Caravan Park

Adelong's Golden Gully Caravan Park is situated on Adelong Creek, in the heart of town. The caravan park offers six self-contained cabins, featuring reverse cycle air-conditioning, television, DVD, refrigerator, cooking facilities and bathroom with shower and toilet. Linen can be provided on request for an additional fee. The caravan park also offers fully equipped laundry facilities. Limited powered campsites, and many unpowered sites are also available. Conveniently located within easy walking distance of the town centre, the caravan park is just a short stroll from shops, cafés, a supermarket, bank, post office, the local Services and Citizens Club, and the Royal Hotel. The Adelong Falls Walk runs alongside the Adelong Creek, connecting the caravan park to the State Heritage-listed Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins.

Adelong Falls Bush Camp

This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering. Adelong Falls Bush Camp offers a beautiful open, flat camping area on 2 acres of land. There is 13 old friendly Cows who also share the property and you may see them wandering around. Enjoy the brand new walking track at the front of the property which takes you up to the beautiful Adelong Falls. The walking trail will have you crossing the Adelong Creek and is a beautiful and scenic experience. We are close to Tumut and within reach of the Snowy Mountains, there is plenty of 4WD opportunities and beautiful views surrounding us. We are also walking distance to the pub! Campfires are welcome in the fire pit we have created, we will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but you may like to bring along some more. Pets are welcome on leash, we have a dog as well and your pet must be good to the cows. We often have friendly kangaroos that visit too.

Adelong Falls Walk

The Adelong Falls Walk provides a peaceful walk along Adelong Creek, linking the town to the Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins. It includes the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail and stretches roughly 2 km each way between the town centre and the Gold Mill Ruins. The walk begins at the Adelong Alive Museum on the main street, from the town centre and leads to Travers Street and from there, follows along the stunning Adelong Creek through to the ruins. The walk is well signposted and takes approximately 2.5 hours return. Upon reaching the ruins, you'll be met with gold mining equipment used in processing activity that took place in the 1800's, which made Adelong one of the most significant sites in the history of Australia's gold booms. Make sure you save a good half day to tour the extensive ruins and take in this important piece of Australian gold mining history.

Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins

The Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins is a state listed heritage industrial site. Situated 1.5 kilometres from Adelong, and just over 20 kilometres from Tumut, it is a must see destination. The interpretive area, providing a comprehensive history of the site, and viewing platform are wheelchair accessible from the lower car park. For the more nimble, a walk of about an hour leads down from the platform to Adelong Creek and the ruins. There are signposts along the route describing the various items relating to the site. The remarkable stone ruins of the ingenious Reefer ore crushing machine, built by Scotsmen David Wilson and William Ritchie, remain for all visitors to view from the platform, or wander through to interpret how reef ore was processed. This mill processed ore from miners from Adelong and the wider district and ceased operation in 1914. The Adelong Falls is a popular swimming hole during the warmer months and a great spot for walking and picnics. The "Adelong Falls Walk" links the Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins to the town of Adelong and also forms part of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail; a walk of about 2km along Adelong Creek.

The Middle

The Middle, formerly a traditional Aussie pub in the beautiful Snowy Valleys town of Adelong, now offers affordable accommodation in nine newly renovated pub-style bedrooms with quality features and shared bathroom facilities. Double, Queen and King rooms are available. Function space available for hire. With nine pub-style rooms and shared facilities, The Middle is the perfect accommodation option for a quick Snowy Valleys stopover or extended stay. It is also a great place for group or family get-togethers and gatherings. Downstairs, there is a coffee bar serving delicious coffee, roasted regionally for freshness. The coffee bar has a variety of light snacks (sweet and savoury) that are locally made, some using locally grown produce.
