You will feel and notice the change in your pet’s coat after their groom at Sandy’s Grooming Tails. With a combination of salon-quality products, freshwater bathing, speciality drying, clipping, and brushing techniques. All are performed in a dog-friendly safe environment by trained and experienced groomers with a lot of love and passion for the job. Accredited groomer Sandy Brabon (and owner of Sandys Grooming Tails) has been grooming in the area for over 21 years, that's a lot of hair! Following a passion for grooming for so many years has given Sandy the know-how and a lot of experience in professional grooming, dog behaviour and recognising what dog owners need.

5Ways Studio and Gallery

The 5Ways Art Studio and Gallery hosts a diverse and vibrant program of exhibitions, classes, workshops, and community outreach events throughout the year. The Annual Art Show, held over the Easter holidays, is one of the longest-running exhibitions in regional New South Wales and attracts accomplished artists and art enthusiasts from all over Australia. Why not unleash your creativity at a weekend workshop? Paint with renowned Australian artists and local professional artists in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment. All are welcome and there is something for everyone at every skill level. A wide range of artworks are available for purchase in the Gallery Shop including ceramics, woodwork, jewellery, fibre art, paintings, prints, and drawings. Tumut Art Society is a vibrant and welcoming artistic community and has been successfully running classes, workshops, exhibitions, events, and outreach programs for over six decades as well as providing a launching pad and mentoring for emerging creatives. Tumut Art Society is the largest arts and cultural not-for-profit incorporated association in the Snowy Valleys Local Government Area and has deductible gift recipient status.

Allegiance Wines Tumbarumba

Allegiance Wines Tumbarumba on Jingellic Road at Mannus is the region's Tuscan-style cellar door. This beautiful vineyard is located in the naturally blessed foothills of the Snowy Mountains, producing high-quality wines in this cool climate pristine environment. Featuring a beautifully landscaped lawn and boardwalk, skirting a picturesque dam that captures the magnificence of the Mannus Valley and the Snowy Mountains beyond. Due to on property accommodation, Cellar Door is only open for regional events and by appointment.

Allegiance Wines Vineyard Guesthouse

The beautiful Tuscan-style house near Tumbarumba is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Recently renovated with five bedrooms and sleeping up to 14, the guest house is situated on 25 hectares including a working vineyard and incredible views of the pristine Snowy Mountains. There’s also a spa bath, ducted air con, a huge deck, a fire pit, a fireplace and a wood-fired pizza oven. Only ten minutes to town, it is perfectly located for surrounding attractions including the 21 kilometre Rail Trail cycling track, Mount Tumbarumba Mountain Bike Park, and 75 minutes to Selwyn Snowfields, lakes, fishing, hiking, Tumut, Adelong and Courabyra Wines.

Nimmitabel Caravan Park

The Nimmitabel Caravan Park is a small caravan park run by the Snowy Monaro Regional Council located in the charming historic village of Nimmitabel. Amenities include showers, camp kitchen and a laundry. The park is attended twice daily to collect fees and issue access to amenities. Tip - before visiting make sure to stop in at the Cooma Visitors Centre to pick up a copy of the Nimmitabel Historic Walk brochure to explore the town of Nimmitabel during your stay.

Scout NSW Alpine Activity Centre

The Alpine Activity Centre in Jindabyne offers high-quality, budget-friendly accommodation at the heart of NSW’s High Country. The Centre is set amidst four acres of bushland, and boasts spectacular views of Lake Jindabyne. Its comfortable self-contained cottages and purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation cater for groups of all shapes and sizes, providing a base where guests can unwind, rejuvenate and take on exhilarating adventures all year round. The Centre’s two self-contained cottages – Kanangra and Bluegum – sleep up to nine people each, perfect for a small groups such as families and friends. Each cottage is air-conditioned, and has its own kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, television, as well as a veranda and outdoor barbecue area overlooking Lake Jindabyne. The Tony Balthasar Lodge is ideal for larger groups including schools, sports and community groups, with its dormitory rooms sleeping up to 96 people. Delegate

Delegate is a historic village nestled among some of the finest grazing land in NSW and surrounded by areas of natural beauty. The history of the township goes back to 1832 and is the NSW town closest to the Black Allen line - the border between NSW and Victoria. The border was surveyed in 1871 or 1872 but not declared until 2006. There is also a small shrine in the Delegate cemetery marking the site of the first place of worship on the Monaro, and at the southern end of town stands the red granite monument commemorating the historic Men from Snow River March in 1916. A little further on is the Early Settlers Hut, built in the 1820s. Delegate has it all - history, tranquil beauty and majestic forests. It is the ideal place to stop and recharge your senses.

Cathcart

When James Taylor moved his stock into the area and squatted on the land, the village of Cathcart was originally named Taylors Flat. The area was surveyed in 1857 and Taylor's Flat was then renamed Cathcart after General Cathcart of Crimean War fame. The village retains its links with its pioneer past with memorabilia on display and a pioneer remembrance wall outside the Old Hall. Enjoy a self-guided town walk featuring plaques recording the local history of various sites. Visit the General Store which was operated by the same family for over 100 years and features an old collection of advertising posters.

Craigie

Craigie is a town located in rural New South Wales. It is approximately 15 minutes, or 26 kilometres, drive from Bombala. It has a lovely old hall and some excellent spots for fishing. Cochabonddu offers the nearest accommodation. It is a delightful cottage offering a very relaxed holiday with good fishing and plenty of platypuses in the river running through the property.

Crankies Plains Bridge over Coolumbooka River

Crankies Plain Bridge over Coolumbooka River is of state significance. The bridge was completed in 1892, and is one of the seven McDonald timber truss road bridges remaining in New South Wales. Timber truss road bridges were extensively used in New South Wales because of the high quality of local hardwoods and the shortage of steel during the early decades of settlement of the state. Spare a few minutes to admire Crankies Plain Bridge when out and about in the Bombala area.

Bombala Visitors Centre

The Bombala Visitors Centre, located in Railway Park next to the Lavender House, offers information about the surrounding areas of Bombala and Delegate and local souvenirs and products for sale. The staff will be able to give you directions to wonderful lookouts, relaxing walks and the best spots for platypus sightings.

Bombala Platypus Reserve

Due to the high numbers of platypus found in their pristine rivers and streams, the Bombala region is known as Platypus Country. The Platypus Reserve is located 4.2 kilometres from Bombala on the Delegate Road and is ideal for seeing a platypus. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to see them. Look for a V shape in the water. The raised platform makes viewing easy for all age groups. Platypus can stay underwater for up to 14 minutes, but more commonly, they will only remain under for between 60 to 90 seconds, so be patient and quiet when viewing this national treasure. The on-site information boards provide you with comprehensive details about the platypus, and the newly installed walkways will make your exploring more enjoyable. The reserve is a great spot to sit and enjoy lunch or simply soak up the peace and quiet. Picnic tables are provided, and there are two bird hides to allow you to really experience the birdlife.

Bombala Caravan Park

The Bombala Caravan Park is located beside the beautiful Bombala River, and just a short distance from Bombala's main street making its location perfect as a base to explore the majestic South East Forests, the sparkling Sapphire Coast and the high country of Australia. Keep an eye out for the platypus that frequent the river. On site accommodation also available.

Bombala

Located 80 kilometres south of Cooma between the mountains and the South Coast, Bombala was settled in the 1840s for its rich grazing pastures. It is now known for its fine wool, beef cattle, timber and lavender production. Bombala offers many outdoor activities and is a popular location for trout fly-fishing, mountain biking and bushwalking. Visit the Platypus Reserve and spot resident platypus in the streams, or explore the Bondi State Forest and its mountain bike trails. The South East Forest National Park is 20 kilometres from Bombala and provides access to scenic drives, great picnic areas, camping, lookouts, bushwalks and native flora and fauna. The area produces local lavender products, including loose leaf lavender, soaps and oils.

Bombala Historic Engine and Machinery Shed

The Historic Engine and Machinery Society has restored a vast number of engines and farming implements from around the district. The Shed is a must for those with an interest in the history of the area and engines in particular. Every two years the Society conducts a large Engine Rally with all the equipment on display.

Matterhorn Lodge is located in the heart of Perisher Valley, only meters from the Ski Tube and Village 8 chairlift. Offering 28 rooms the Matterhorn Lodge aims to provide the best on-mountain experience for individuals, families or groups of all sizes. Providing snow transport, signature dinner and breakfast dining, a games room and entertainment - you will have everything you need to enjoy and make your winter holiday one to remember. The Lodge accommodates 2,3,4,5, 6 and 7 share rooms with options for different bedding configurations. All rooms are beautifully appointed with with private ensuites, bathroom amenities, linen, towels as well as high-speed wifi and televisions. The large guest lounge, bar and games room are a guest favourite with movie nights put on for the kids, and books and board games on offer. The dine-in three-course dinner and hot breakfasts have our guests coming back year after year. Transfers are included from the Perisher Ski Tube Terminal on arrival and departure days. The Matterhorn Lodge is approximately 5 hours from Sydney and 2.5 hours from Canberra.

Michelago Farm Camping

This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering. Large open paddock with easy access from Monaro Highway, great for camping with amazing views of the mountains. The access road is good quality dirt road. Ok for caravans. Dog friendly (must be well behaved around our animals and not chase them). We have Alpacas in our camping paddocks so your dog must be kept under control at all times. We have a composting toilet available for campers to use. Mobile phone reception in the area is around 3-4 bars 4G on Optus and 3-4 bars 3G on Telstra. Please bring your own wood for camp fires or you can purchase a barrow of bush wood from us in the extras. We prefer you not to collect your own wood (other than starter sticks/branches) as we are trying to maintain logs, branches, ground cover on the ground for native birds, lizards, etc. Private outdoor yoga sessions are available if booked in advance or you can book into the local classes on Thursday nights.
