Neils On Wheels

Cottesloe

This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering. 1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

Clancy's Cottage - Talbingo

The Wombat Farm

A secluded site all to yourself, perfect for a family getaway with just you and your friends. We have beautiful rural block in the high country of NSW. Comprising around 50 acres with around 10 of those being cleared paddock and the balance of bush land. 20 mins drive south from Jindabyne, the land starts at 1250m where our two dams are sited, with the top of the land at 1400m as you wind you’re way through the bush tracks that traverse through the property. The upper dam has been stocked with brook trout making for fun fishing with kids.

Thompson’s Hut

We acknowledge that Aboriginal people were the first people of this land. We recognise the Ngarigo people as the traditional custodians of the region. Speranza Farm

Located just outside Cooma NSW on the beautiful alpine plain is a lovely camp spot for a tent, car or RV. Right next to the running Cooma creek with deep holes for swimming or just sitting. This is a great camp spot that’s easy to get to and close to town making it an easy stop on the way to the mountains. Well behaved pets are always welcome but we are a working farm so please make sure your pet is under control at all times. No toilet facilities so please take your trash with you and make sure you have a camp toilet. There is a dedicated camp fire site when restrictions are not in place. Please note there are some tight turns so anything much larger than 10m may be a challenge for a creek site and may have to have a paddock site.

The Conscious Crop

Nacki Nacki

Pitch your tent or RV overlooking the gorgeous mountains. We are half a kilometre from the main road behind locked gates, and just 10 minutes from town for all your supply needs. There are plenty of scenic walks and fishing spots nearby, at camp you can enjoy complete privacy. There is a shower and toilet available which is separate from the main residence. There is also bar fridge, large chest freezer, jug, toaster, and microwave available, We are on tank water and can offer drinking water. We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own. Enjoy waking up to the tranquil sounds of wildlife of all sorts, (not having to hear any traffic being 500meters off the main road). plus the views of the kangaroos in the mornings is pleasant too! The campsite is accessible by 2WD and we can accommodate all types of camping vehicles. You will need to level your vehicle depending on which site you choose.

Bigyard Hipcamp where ...

Attungatharah (Bigyard Hipcamp)is a property located on the Mowamba river at an elevation of 1100 meters. It is situated south of Jindabyne 13 km along the Barry Way and 7km up the Mowamba valley on the Bigyard Road and is on the fringe of Kosciuszko National Park. The Mowamba River catchment starts high in the Cascades on the eastern side of the Snowy Mountains. Mowamba Magic (water) flows from this pristine environment through an undisturbed catchment flowing past the property A number of day Mountain Cycle Rides into Kosciusko National Park and 1/2 day rides directly out of the property plus shorter ones to historic old timber mills. Bushwalking and nature trails up onto the Moonbah Ridge at the back of the property. See the Yellow Belly Glider Habitat tree, you may be lucky to see them feed. Catch trout and swim in the Mowamba River. Canoe the exciting Lower Snowy Gorge just 45 minutes drive. Ride horses on the many local trails by arrangement. Station Resort in winter renowned in providing a first class char grill and restaurant.

Brown Mountain Serenity

Brown Mountain Serenity is located on 700 acres of native forest bordering Glenbog State Forest. The campsite is secluded and five kilometres off the main road down dirt tracks. A 4WD is needed to access the campsite. Flat camping areas, creek frontage and natural waterholes on the property. All pets welcome, big or small. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, bushwalks, animal and bird watching. Lots of native wildlife. Plenty of firewood available (when fires are permitted 31st March - 1 October).
