Make your way to the Snowy Mountains.
From Canberra, take the Monaro Highway (B23) heading south. Continue on Monaro Highway for about 110 kilometres. Follow signs to Cooma, then continue towards Jindabyne. From Jindabyne, follow signs to your specific destination within the Snowy Mountains. Once here, there is an excellent network of roads servicing all kinds of vehicles, including caravans and trailers. Make sure you take a road trip and visit the quaint villages of Adaminaby, Delegate, Dalgety and Bombala.

There are a variety of bus and coach services to and from the Snowy Mountains. Deans Coaches specialises in trips to the Snowy Mountains. Murrays Coaches offers regular services from Canberra to the Snowy Mountains, including stops in Jindabyne and Thredbo. Greyhound Australia provides routes to the Snowy Mountains, including stops in Cooma, Jindabyne, and other key locations.
Once you are in the region, Snowy Mountains Shuttles specialises in transfers from Jindabyne and surrounding areas to the snow resorts. The Snowy Mountains Bus Service is a shuttle style service that will will take passengers from Jindabyne to Perisher and Thredbo resorts 7 days per week during ski season from 8 June to 6 October 2024, with connecting services via East Jindabyne, Tyrolean Village and Cooma (via Berridale).
