Creel Bay cottages

For a tranquil weekend away, head to Creel Bay cottages in the Thredbo-Perisher area of Kosciuszko National Park. Perfect for families or small groups, the two neighbouring cottages make an ideal base to discover the rugged beauty of the Snowy Mountains. Once you've unpacked and settled in, it's time to explore. Take a bushwalk along the nearby Waterfall walking track or travel a bit further to see glacier-carved landscapes along the Main Range walk. Experienced hikers can head to the top of Australia's highest peak on Mount Kosciuszko Summit trail, and intrepid cyclists will enjoy the thrills of Thredbo Valley track's adventure rides. Snow enthusiasts will find themselves close to the action in winter, with the cottages less than half an hour away from Perisher Valley. If you don't feel like travelling far, there's plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. Fish for trout and go for a paddle in Lake Jindabyne, or simply enjoy the water views as you relax on the verandah. As you explore this area, keep an eye out you may spot the eastern grey kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and possums that call this place home.

Positioned in the foot hills of the Snowy Mountains, Avonside Alpine Estate enjoys a close proximity to the major arterial road ‘Kosciusko Road’, providing visitors with easy access to a large number of amazing nature-based experiences such as snowfields in the winter and hiking trails in the warmer months. Avonside Alpine Estate is a purpose-built facility catering to visitors seeking an up-market Eco-Tourism experience. Currently designed to deliver a comprehensive experience showcasing the best of the Snowy Mountains region, within an agricultural framework. Common Kosci

A custom built, contemporary cabin designed for rest and play located five minutes from Jindabyne town on a rural family owned property. Built in 2022, modern fittings and furnishings throughout have been crafted for comfort and indulgent living in these architect designed 'black boxes'. Rise to the fresh Alpine air, look out to the kangaroos grazing, and enjoy the stillness while you bask in the natural rugged surrounds that wrap the cabin. Wind down from a day on the sun soaked deck, or warmed by the roaring outdoor fire pit.

Tinkersfield

The Snowy Mountains is home to an exciting new kind of transformational escape - Tinkersfield. The experience is holistic with guests staying in the six extraordinary and unique eco Field Houses or at the popular Post Office and Barn, adjacent to the new venue. The accommodation is custom designed, restored and built by them to ensure you get the best comfort, best views, and best experience of their mountain country. Big Yard Farm

Set on 100-acres of lush pasture, dotted with the region’s snow gums and bordering the Kosciuszko National Park, Big Yard Farm welcomes guests for a premium stay on a working, regeneratively-operated cattle farm. Around 15 minutes’ drive from the Snowy Mountains capital Jindabyne, Big Yard Farm offers a tranquil base from which to explore the region’s snow sports as well as popular summer activities like hiking, trout fishing and mountain biking. Fresh water at Big Yard Farm comes directly from the Mowamba River which runs along the property’s front border, fed by snowy mountain streams. Renowned as blue-ribbon trout fishing territory, the river is also home to small fish and hopefully also platypus. Wombats and native birds enjoy a peaceful life along its banks. A three-bedroom house with premium appointments, two open fires and a pool room, plus long verandahs for lounging and dining provides guests with a comfortable farm stay. The house is surrounded by rolling green lawns, gardens, grapevines and lavender rows, while fruit and nut trees lead to the help-yourself kitchen garden. All power is generated via rooftop solar panels. Big Yard Farm is pup-friendly based on pre-approval and a wonderful chance for dogs to enjoy the free open spaces. As Big Yard Farm is a working cattle farm, pet owners need to be mindful of their pup’s behaviour around the cows.

Highplain - Private Chalet
