2022 Snowy Classic Cycling Event Road Closure Update

Road closure information is now available for the 2022 Snowy Classic, to be held on Saturday 26 March. The inaugural road cycling Gran Fondo event is part of the national series – The Classics by Bicycling Australia.

There are two rides through the Snowy Mountains which operate on fully closed roads, extending from Jindabyne to Hilltop, Rocky Plain, Berridale, Dalgety, Beloka and Perisher Valley.

Event organisers have worked closely with Snowy Monaro Council, NSW police and Transport for NSW to limit the impact to the local community. Local residents and impacted businesses are in the process of being notified by a letterbox drop and extensive community awareness program.

Details of the rolling road closures, and road closure map, are available to view online via the Snowy Classic website.

Riders from all over Australia have registered for the inaugural event. Many will be staying in the Jindabyne and Snowy Mountains region over the weekend boosting tourism and bringing considerable economic benefits to the local region.

A special thank you to Destination NSW, Snowy Monaro Council, Tourism Snowy Mountains, Transport NSW, and NSW Police for their ongoing support and assistance.
