Thredbo Resort
With a mountain of terrain to explore and a huge line up of free activities, Thredbo Resort’s Kids Snow Festival is a sure favourite for kids off all ages. Off the slopes there’s movie and pizza nights, Lindt s’mores, and firework displays. Or enjoy all on offer on the slopes including special kids flare runs and Torah Bright Mini Shred. Perisher Resort
Did somebody say FREE night skiing?! The kids can enjoy Smiggin Holes under lights every Wednesday night, 6-8pm. Ski or board on Zoe’s Carpet, and then end the night with an impressive display of fireworks. Night skiing is also available on Front Valley every Tuesday and Saturday night and is free for EPIC pass holders.
Charlotte Pass
There’s plenty on offer for the kids at Australia’s highest ski resort, Charlotte Pass, this July. Enjoy those extra few fun laps with night skiing and boarding under the stars every Wednesday and Saturday night from 6-pm to 8pm. The kids will love Friday night Flare Runs down Basin Poma & Kosciuszko Triple Chair whilst holding twinkling, flashing flares (flares available to purchase). Plus, for all you “bigger” kids there is live music at Adams Cocktail Lounge located in the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel from 5-10 pm on select dates in July.
Off The Slopes
If you’re needing a bit of a lay day, there’s plenty off activities to keep you busy this July School Holidays! Kids will love the museums in Cooma like the Historic Motoring Museum fit with a 1950’s inspired American diner (hello milk shakes hot dogs and shiny cars), or the NSW Correctional Museum where you can experience a guided tour from an inmate or warden. There’s also story time at Cooma Library, or catching a movie at Jindabyne and Cooma’s Twin Cinema’s if you are looking for a little down time.
If you’re looking for something a little more action packed – head down to Lake Jindabyne and try out the 18 hole disc golf course (discs available for hire from the Jindabyne Rip Curl Shop), take on the mission inflatable and water slide at Thredbo Leisure Centre, or channel some Man From Snowy River vibes with a horse trail ride at Thredbo Valley Horse Riding.
