Role: Sales-Driven Partnerships Specialist

Location: Snowy Mountains (NSW) or willing to travel at least each fortnight

Type: Part-time contracting position (initially 6 hours / week – hourly rate with commission upside)

About Us: Tourism Snowy Mountains’ Board and Stakeholders are dedicated to creating meaningful change in tourism visitation to the NSW Snowy Mountains. We’re seeking a talented Partnerships Specialist to join our team and help us secure partnerships and funding that will supercharge our initiatives. Further reference:

Role Overview: As a Sales-Driven Partnerships Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and establish partnerships with like-minded organisations, businesses, and individuals who share our vision. You’ll leverage your sales skills to forge win-win collaborations that not only amplify our campaigns but also drive additional funding to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively research and identify potential partners that align with our values and objectives.
  • Initiate outreach and develop strong relationships with decision-makers to pitch partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling partnership proposals that highlight mutual benefits.
  • Negotiate partnership terms, including funding contributions, TSM sponsorships, campaign involvement, and visibility.
  • Work closely with TSM Board and specific sub-committees to ensure seamless reporting, execution and fulfillment of partnership agreements.
  • Monitor and track partnership performance, providing regular updates to TSM’s Board and Stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new partnership prospects.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, partnerships, or business development roles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to identify mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for driving results.
  • Familiarity with tourism/destination marketing, industry, trends and key players is a plus.
  • Successful candidates will require an ABN and appropriate insurance coverage for contract roles.
