WILDBRUMBY DISTILLERY

Embrace the Spirit of the Snowies at Australia’s highest distillery.

Welcome to the Unexpected.

Located halfway between Jindabyne and Thredbo, a visit to Australia’s highest distillery, Wildbrumby, is unmissable.

Specializing in schnapps – a quintessential mountain drink – and boasting a cafe serving locally sourced produce and Austrian meals, this “Little Austrian Schnapps Hut” brings the authentic taste of European culture to the Australian Alpine region.

Drop in for a free schnapps or gin tasting any day of the week, and the staff will explain the qualities of schnapps. From Thursday to Monday, settle in for antipasti, an Austrian-inspired lunch, or a homemade dessert.

Also the perfect place for après drinks, gather your friends for Schnappy Hour from 4pm to 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays and enjoy $9 schnapps flights.

Before you leave, don’t forget to explore the sculpture garden. Exit through the gift shop, and take a sample of the mountains home.

To reserve a table at the stillhouse cafe, we recommend you contact the distillery by phone between 10am and 11am, or 3pm and 5pm on (02) 6457 1447.

You’ll also get the chance to peek inside the Spalding Studio – rarely open to the public – so gaining unique insights into an artists’ creative process. Upon the conclusion of the walk, relax in the cafe with a beverage, and chat with newfound friends.

The cost of the experience is $30 per person, which includes a coffee or wildbrumby cocktail, with all proceeds going to support the not-for-profit work of One Thredbo. This work includes an alpine Public Art Project set to invigorate and inspire future visitors to Thredbo Alpine Village.
