Welcome to the Summer Mountains!

Tourism Snowy Mountains has worked alongside Sydney based creative agency RCKT.com to produce this entertaining teaser which follows a council worker taking instruction from the Marketing Department to change all the road signs to the “Summer Mountains”. Aimed to draw attention and interest in the soon to launch summer campaign, this is a new, but exciting direction for Tourism Snowy Mountains.

A sign that says Summer Mountains

“The Snowy Mountains are a beautiful summer destination, but we feel that our name can sometimes be misleading for those who don’t know us outside of the ski season, so we’ve had a little fun mixing up the status quo. We are so excited to share the new summer campaign with everyone,”

Christie Hampton – TSM Marketing and Communications Manager.

Fishing in the Thredbo River

In a bid to position the Snowy Mountains as THE go-to, year-round holiday destination, the teaser shows a brief snapshot of the activities available to enjoy over the summer period, which will form the base of the new summer campaign. More content from the campaign is expected to drop this Friday 19 November so stay tuned to Facebook and Instagram.

After an unfavourable couple of winter seasons due to Covid-19 restrictions, on top of a bushfire affected summer in 2020, Tourism Snowy Mountains is incredibly excited to be working on this campaign that they hope will bring a new wave of visitors to the region.

Stay tuned, there’s a lot more from the Snowy Summer Mountains on the way!
