Thredbo Resort will take the on-snow action to the next level this winter, launching a jam-packed calendar of skiing and snowboarding events featuring a number of new competitions.
Registrations are now open for Thredbo’s huge calendar of skiing and snowboarding events, offering competitions for all ages, abilities and disciplines.
Thredbo has announced a number of new on-snow events including the Thredbo Triple Crown series presented by Boost Mobile, The Battle on The Bluff presented by Flip Insurance and Project Shred Powered By The Chumpy Pullin Foundation.
In addition to the new events, this winter will also see the return of crowd favourites including the snowboarder’s day of days, the 9th Annual Transfer Banked Slalom, and the Monster Energy Bush Doof hosted by Tess Coady, as well as a wide range of community and school race events.
Thredbo Events & Partnerships Manager Damian Goninan said he is excited for skiers and snowboarders to experience these new events.
“We work really hard to keep our events calendar fresh and exciting each season. This year, we’ve really re-imagined what our skiing and snowboarding competitions will look like and we can’t wait to see them come to life this winter,” said Mr Goninan.

Project Shred powered by the Chumpy Pullin Foundation – Saturday 15 July 2023
One for the kids! Thredbo is proud to partner with the Chumpy Pullin Foundation to host a progressive day of skiing, snowboarding & workshopping, helping to develop the next generation of superstar shredders and raise awareness around the foundation. A fun day out in Thredbo’s child-friendly terrain park, kids can learn tricks and tips from some of Australia’s best skiers and snowboarders, followed by a workshop with top-tier athletes about becoming a pro and succeeding at the highest level, all while enjoying the ride. There’s a signing session with the athletes and coaches, a sausage sizzle, live music plus heaps of giveaways and prizes.
Thredbo Triple Crown Presented By Boost Mobile – Select dates throughout July & August
The Thredbo Triple Crown presented Boost Mobile will challenge skiers and snowboarders across three massive freestyle events including Slopestyle, Big Air & Rails. Competitors will throw down for the judging panel to win their share of the $60K cash and prize pool, showing off some of the country’s up-and-coming talent. The Thredbo Triple Crown is all about a friendly atmosphere, allowing the athletes to push themselves in a fun and supportive environment.
The Battle on The Bluff Presented By Flip Insurance – 14 August 2023
With a $20K cash and prize pool on the line, get ready to carve out unique lines, match it with style and flow down Thredbo’s unmatched freeride terrain. Whether it’s sending big drops or slashing the wave and wind lips, this is the comp to break down barriers and strut your stuff!
