Tourism Snowy Mountains Launch Brand New Campaign Partnership Program

Launching in October 2022, Tourism Snowy Mountains is embarking on a major destination marketing and media campaign under the new tagline; ‘It’s an Altitude Thing’

The campaign aims to drive non-winter visitation to the entire region, increase length of stay and increase visitor spend by promoting the incredible landscape, culture and tourism opportunities that abound in the Snowy Mountains.

As part of the ‘It’s an Altitude Thing’ campaign, Snowy Mountain based tourism businesses are invited to be part of a co-branded Partner Program that will give partners an opportunity to add their voice to a powerful, targeted and consolidated media campaign. The campaign will utilise a mix of various advertising initiatives including paid digital, social and YouTube advertising combined with offline channels such as radio, billboard and regional television to create significant awareness and momentum for each business that comes on board.

Businesses will be helping to boost the $85,000 media spend already committed by Tourism Snowy Mountains to this Destination Marketing Campaign, significantly increasing the campaign media reach and frequency – a win for both local partners and the entire region.

“Tourism Snowy Mountains is looking forward to working with as many businesses in the region as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to work together on promoting the region as a whole to a very targeted audience during the non-winter period”.

Christie Hampton, Marketing and Communications Manager, Tourism Snowy Mountains.

To deliver the campaign, Tourism Snowy Mountains is working closely with marketing agency Destination Marketing Store and media buying agency Leonards Advertising. On behalf of Tourism Snowy Mountains, Leonards Advertising has structured the program into four package options, allowing businesses to buy into the program at a level that suits them.

“Whether it’s at an entry level listing investment or a full scale multi-channel marketing campaign, our partners will have access to the expertise of this longstanding, well recognised agency while also building a valuable relationship with Tourism Snowy Mountains”.

Janet Mackay – Director, Tourism Snowy Mountains.

Tourism Snowy Mountains has also made a significant investment in upgrades to their website www.snowymountains.com.au, creating a landing page that will act as a call to action for the campaign’s audience.

“The website will house listings for our partners and will be heavily promoted across all channels throughout the length of the campaign. We look forward to launching this new section of the website alongside the campaign in September”.
