Welcome back Selwyn Snow Resort! The Blyton Group has today announced lifts will be spinning from this Friday 23rd June at Selwyn Snow Resort.
Following the devastating Black Summer bushfires in 2020 the resort has been transformed, with the opening of the significantly expanded and integrated ‘Selwyn Centre’ on Saturday 10th June. The new Selwyn Centre houses an expanded Ski & Snowboard Hire, enhanced food and drink offerings and improved toilet amenities.
This week has seen Selwyn’s expanded snowmaking capability on full display, following the installation of state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment from industry leader TechnoAlpin. Selwyn Snow Resort was the first snow resort in the Southern Hemisphere to purchase the brand new TT10 snow machines, the largest snow machines available.
On Friday, the revamped New Chum Chairlift will open, along with two exciting additions that are set to enhance the Selwyn experience for guests of all ages and skill levels.
The relocated and expanded Toboggan Park will also open for the first time on Friday. Australia’s Largest Toboggan Park, come and experience this exhilarating attraction that promises endless thrills and laughter. Adventure-seekers of all ages can experience the excitement of zooming down the slopes on toboggans. Additionally, they can head back up on the longest carpet lift in Australia, measuring 150- meters, creating unforgettable memories with family and friends.
With dedicated snowmaking and food & beverage facilities at the base, Selwyn Snow Resort will be offering the best tobogganing experience in Australia.
Also debuting is Wes’ Wonderful Carpet, a state-of-the-art carpet lift spanning an impressive 81 meters in the expanded beginner’s area. This gentle slope provides the perfect environment for beginners to embark on their snow sports journey, offering a safe and supportive space to build confidence and develop essential skills.
